Terms of Service
dGENwalk is a walking game for the dGEN1 with a free Daily Call and optional real-money step pools. By using the app you agree to these terms.
You can lose money in a pool. A pool puts a real USDC entry on keeping your goal. If you miss a day, your entry goes to the walkers who kept theirs, minus the platform fee, or to the platform if nobody keeps the goal. In a squad pool the squad with fewer keepers loses every entry, even kept ones. This may be regulated where you live. You must be 18+ and outside restricted regions. Only enter with money you can afford to lose. The Daily Call is free and moves no money.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 to use dGENwalk, and at least 18, outside restricted regions and not subject to sanctions to enter a pool or receive a prize. By using dGENwalk you represent that you may take part under the law where you live.
The Daily Call
- Free: no purchase or entry fee, and no money moves when you call.
- It unlocks each UTC day once you have walked the day's unlock (5,000 steps). One call per wallet per UTC day, final once locked.
- The result compares the server's ETH price at the moment of your call with its price at 00:00 UTC (Coinbase, with Kraken as a fallback). Equal prices, a move smaller than 0.05% when the two prices come from different venues, or no price for 24 hours make the day void. A void day neither counts nor breaks a streak.
- It is a game, not financial advice.
- Prizes exist only in weeks a sponsor funds. They are paid in USDC to the winners' dGENwalk balance from a sponsor account, never from other players. A right call qualifies only on a day whose step receipt shows the unlock; the board states each week's rule. Prizes are subject to eligibility, local law and review, are void where prohibited, and may be withheld for cheating.
Step pools
A pool puts a USDC entry on Base, taken from your own dGEN1 wallet when you join, on keeping a daily step goal on every day of the pool. Entries are held custodially for the length of the pool. In a solo pool, walkers who keep the goal get their entry back plus a share of the entries of those who missed, after the platform's fee on those forfeits; if nobody keeps the goal, the platform keeps the whole pool. In a squad pool the squad with fewer keepers loses every entry on it, even kept ones, to the other squad's keepers after the fee, and a tie refunds everyone. A pool that cannot settle fairly is refunded. Pools are available only where enabled and to eligible wallets.
Deposits, cash-outs & custody
- USDC is credited only after enough network confirmations.
- Cash-outs are reviewed and paid to your own wallet; large cash-outs may need extra review.
- We are not a bank. Balances in the app are not deposits insured by any authority.
Risk
- Real-money pools may be regulated as wagering, skill-gaming, rewards, money transmission or financial activity in some jurisdictions.
- Payment and payout systems may contain bugs or operational errors.
- You are responsible for your local compliance and for any taxes owed. Do not use the app where prohibited.
Fair play
Do not spoof step data or use modified clients, automated step generators, emulators or root exploits. Step receipts and calls are checked for plausibility; cheating can lead to denied progress, a void call, a withheld prize or payout pending review, removal of the device connection grant, or removal from pools under their rules.
Termination
We may suspend or end access at any time, particularly for cheating or abuse.
No warranty; limitation of liability
The app is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the team is not liable for any loss of funds or for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages arising from your use of dGENwalk.
Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app and reflected here. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
