How the Daily Call works
- Walk. Steps count from the phone's step counter, even with the app closed. A watch can add its steps through Health Connect.
- Unlock. At 5,000 steps, today's call opens.
- Call. One tap: will ETH be higher or lower at 00:00 UTC than right now? One call a day, final once locked. Every price comes from the server (Coinbase, with Kraken as a fallback), never from your phone.
- Result. It lands a few minutes after 00:00 UTC, shown in your local time. Call right day after day to build a streak and climb the weekly board.
The Daily Call is free: no entry fee, and no money moves. Some weeks a sponsor may put up a USDC prize for walkers with enough right calls on days they walked; the board says so when it does.
Step pools
A pool puts a USDC entry from your own dGEN1 wallet on keeping a daily step goal. Keep it every day of the pool and your entry comes back with a share of what the walkers who missed left behind, after dGENwalk's 10% fee on those forfeits; if nobody keeps the goal, dGENwalk keeps the pool. In a squad pool the squad with fewer keepers loses every entry, even kept ones, and a tie refunds everyone. Pools are open to allow-listed wallets while legal and eligibility checks are completed; anyone can browse them in the app.
You can lose money in a pool. A pool puts a real USDC entry on keeping your goal. If you miss a day, your entry goes to the walkers who kept theirs, minus the platform fee, or to the platform if nobody keeps the goal. In a squad pool the squad with fewer keepers loses every entry, even kept ones. This may be regulated where you live. You must be 18+ and outside restricted regions. Only enter with money you can afford to lose. The Daily Call is free and moves no money.
